Reel Hope-Supported Film The Tropic Sun and His Eyes Premieres at Tribeca Festival 2026

Reel Hope is proud to celebrate the selection of The Tropic Sun and His Eyes for the 2026 Tribeca Festival.

Written and directed by Haitian-American filmmaker Elisée Junior St. Preux, the film tells the story of Ruben, a young man who embarks on a journey across Haiti in search of his estranged father. Along the way, he forms an unexpected bond with a young street boy, creating a moving story about connection, healing, and belonging.

The film’s inclusion in Tribeca marks a significant milestone for St. Preux and highlights the growing impact of independent filmmakers bringing authentic, culturally rich stories to audiences around the world.

At Reel Hope, we believe in supporting filmmakers whose work inspires empathy, understanding, and meaningful dialogue. We are honored to have played a role in supporting this project and are thrilled to see it receive recognition on one of the world’s most respected festival stages.

Congratulations to Elisée Junior St. Preux and the entire creative team behind The Tropic Sun and His Eyes. We look forward to seeing audiences experience this powerful film at Tribeca and beyond.
